Exciting New Partnership
TWO COMPANIES JOIN FORCES TO FURTHER GROW HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL AUSTRALIAN PRODUCT.
It’s often said that one plus one can equal three. This is certainly the case when small and innovative Ballarat company, Interpath, recently joined forces with the Bendigo based international Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health, with both agreeing the sum has become greater than the parts.
To some they may seem unlikely business partners, however these two companies have formed an agreement to work together to grow and expand the market for Sasha’s Blend, an already very successful product poised on the threshold of becoming an even more successful one, both in Australia and overseas.
The agreement will see Interpath maintain responsibility for research and product development and Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health take on responsibility for sales and marketing.
Most Australians with an older dog would be familiar with the name Sasha’s Blend.
With ten years of hard work, research and development behind them, Interpath has until now manufactured and marketed Sasha’s Blend, a natural joint health solution for dogs. In fact, Sasha’s Blend has become a household name around the country and many pet owners have come to understand the product name as a by-word for improved health and vitality for older dogs and those experiencing arthritic symptoms. Sasha’s Blend became, and still is, the number one selling treatment in Australasia.
At a launch breakfast at Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health’s facility in Bendigo on Wednesday 17th February, both parties spoke of their shared goals and aspirations for the product that has given thousands and thousands of dogs an improved quality of life.
Daniel Bright is the energetic and dedicated founder and Managing Director of Interpath. Daniel said that while a lot of people would know that Sasha, the aging Bright family dog, inspired the initial product development, not many would know that well more than a decade of continuing scientific research and exploration underpins the product’s success.
Daniel said, “A nutraceutical, even a successful one like Sasha’s Blend, has to be backed by ongoing research and data to support the claims we are making about the efficacy of the product. That’s why we are so committed to the R&D aspect of our business. That’s why people are prepared to trust Sasha’s Blend and go on to experience its benefits for themselves.”
This view is echoed by Patrick Morgan, Director Companion Animals, Asia Pacific at Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health. Patrick was keen to point out that with many doom and gloom business stories circulating in recent years, this venture is a positive and forward step for both companies.
Patrick said, “Interpath is a small Australian company that started from the ground up to create Sasha’s Blend. It’s a product with a firm reputation, solid return sales and growing markets. Research and development is Interpath’s core strength.”
“Now, with the sales and marketing expertise and global footprint of an international company like Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health, Interpath will focus on developing even more innovative products and we will work to expand and grow market share. We are extremely pleased to have formed this partnership,” he continued.
The atmosphere at the launch was resoundingly upbeat. Both businesses spoke highly of each other, and expressed their genuine enthusiasm for the idea of a small local company and a large international company working together.
Daniel said, “This is a very exciting time for Interpath and Sasha’s Blend. We look forward to our working relationship with Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health, and see a productive and positive future together.”
